My brother is a reenactor, i often help him customizing, buying or crafting the gear (mostly the leather and cloth parts) ... He would probably fight barehand with a bear, with a hand tied to the beast's one, to get a Vendel helm like that XD XD XD
Viking epicness apart, great photo
I'd also like to come to these meetings and these places, we have some good reenact events here in Italy but honestly they aren't so much well made and -sigh- almost ignored by cultural authorities (tsk, politic... T_T) But wait a minute, wasn't Jomsborg's position "not surely known" ?
