Mostly from ref images...
I think it's more convenient that way. Light wont change during painting, etc.

Recently I had opportunity to paint a model from nature in digital (I will submit this artwork soon, I think You might like it, it was a pretty girl in bikini ). OMG O_O I thought... damn... I need to get back to painting from nature, totally... I am drawing from nature all the time, but I haven't painted from nature for some time and if it comes to such complikated thing like living person with really nice light and stuff... Oh gosh... Need to practice it more (but I don't know from where I could take living model... haha, maybe it is time for selfie from nature LOL)

bon apetit! - this baby is from nature, it was pomegranate. But as You see - it is crazy old artwork...

So Yea - I totally know what You mean - painting from photo and from nature ARE totally different things in some points.

Yeah it was nice piece of art! I also draw lot from nature but maybe I should try and paint more
Friends and family are usually good live models but I actually like painting self portraits most.
Then it doesn't matter that much if I do bad sketch/painting

Tho I would guessed that internet is much heavier since some many uses it nowadays..
