Description Arouraiopotamus (Arouraiopotamus rattus) is a descendant of actual southwestern water vole. This species lives in swamps and rivers of future Iberian peninsula.

They live in big groups. They eat grass and fishes. Their whiskers work as hands, with them they feel their environment and so they can catch fishes.

They looks like hippos and they are enormous. It's possible that they are the biggest rodents in this period with almost 4m of long.

It name comes from Greek, Arouraio (rat) and potamus (river), so it name means river rat. I took the idea from hippopotamus that means river horse.
