Colors can definitely be pushed all over the place, but the strength of this piece is in the concept and lineart. However, I'll definitely be interested to see what your friend comes up with too!

Nice pose and lines. His facial expression makes it seem as if he is slipping, if his right hand was extended out more, then it would definately look that was. Anyways... I especially like the colors.
