Commander Dvaniur Grail is the headmaster at the Windom Military Academy at Eies. He is a stern educator, with close connections within the Empressβ castle. Grail&'s massive mechanical arms can rip a mech in two, but his curious, reserved nature may prove critical as Jonothon unlocks the mysteries of the Dark & Day

I like it but a technical note,
for have such arms he need to have some kind of esoskeleton on the back(as the weigth of the arms reflects on the backbone ).
But still a very good character

You're right that he would need additional support. Grail has a reinforced (internal) skeleton that supports the weight. In Dark & Day, they use sprites (nano machines) that are programed to build cybor-like installs in the body. The arms are attached though. Sprites build all sorts of installs from energy cannons, brain enhancements, links into the code world, chemix poton kits, and more. It's kind of like x-men, but through technology
