Description
It was a weekly activity at CGHub, the task was to come up with a concept for the title "Drifting Forest Grazer" and at the same time create at least 2 stage of this creature at different age,etc. This was my entry
A simple description: Despite the creature's fierce appearance they're gentle creatures that are often found at areas of high altitude. They travel in small packs, usually as a family.
Their chisel-like jaws allow them to dig into the ground feeding on grass and earth, the nutritions in grass and the minerals in the mud provide them with the proper energy to survive in the high lands. As the creature ages, their colors fade and the horn as well as their rock like skin continues to grow from the mineral build up.

I love the combo of grassland herbivore and knuckle walking mountain gorilla! Great anatomy, they look like they could actually function. The light and color are great too, all around awesome work!

I love how original this picture is. It's great how you see three generations of the same beast adding so much realism to a fantasy world that exists only in an instant.

i like this style alot, it is a simple method of rendering but it allows you to create great amounts of detail. The blue touches on the bottoms of the limbs make this!
The rock formation in the background is confusing though because it is too close in value to the most distant creature. i imagine that there are several quick solutions to that.
