'ello! It's me, DevilishEvelyn, with a new username!

Here I used watercolors on paper. I painted with thick layers as usual and I gotta stop doing that. And it turned out a bit LOT more psychedelic than I expected... It literally took me a month to paint (well of course I was also busy with other stuff and procrastinating) and it underwent massive changes when I replaced Christian symbols with Slavic ones and replaced an incense burner with plants.

You may have noticed that I'm pretty interested in religious iconography (especially the Byzantine and Gothic Christian art and architecture). But I am perhaps even more interested in Paganism (Slavic, and a bit of Germanic/Nordic things), partially because that was what our ancestors believed in. Also I'm a salty bitch because the Christianization of Slavs in the middle ages erased a lot of knowledge and culture, and I'd love to know more about what they believed in.
