Cool, I am 21 miles from where this laser originates and I can actually see the beam on a clear night.

Indeed it is.
I own a few lasers myself, no where near as powerful as the one at Greenwich which is 5W (5,000mW), and the beam from them only goes about 2 or 3 miles. Then again that's probably because I only have a 75mW green laser, 50mW green laser in a projector, 90mW blue ray (violet) laser and a 100mW red laser.

You probably have a 5mW red laser.
My pointers are just for fun really, although I have used my 75mW green pointer for star pointing and even pointing out where the ground is level in the garden. The scanner is self explanatory, I just use it for family parties and messing about with.

Tenho só uma pergunta, o que originou aquele traço de luz que percorre a foto desde a árvore (segundo galho a contar de baixo lado direito) até quase ao estádio? Pergunto isto pk podia ser um avião, mas em três segundos acho que não fazia o caminho todo... Meteoróide?
