Just a conceptual drawing of Stump as I work to hash out the details of his story. Here he has been picked up by the police for questioning. His hands might be in handcuffs, but I wanted that to remain ambiguous. Of course, he can break out and leave anytime he wants to and he knows it, but he has his reasons for going along with it.The main idea behind the drawing is that I wanted to portray Stump as un-heroically as possible and to make it unclear as to whether he is good or evil.

That expression puts him more on the evil side of the equation, I think, in this image alone.
I can't wait for the entirety of the comic. It's always great to see more of Stump.

I just love the detailing in this piece, particularly in the folds of the shirt. And I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but you draw the most amazing chests, seriously. I think they probably brought him into the police station because his shirt was buttoned up, because where I'm from, that would definitely be a crime.

Thanks! I wanted to put more details in the background, but I'm undecided right now as to whether he's in the back of a police car or inside a jail cell.

Yeah, he kind of has that "I know something you don't" expression on his face. I think that's kind of turned into inspiration for the direction I want to take his story.
