Description It took me more time than I expected to finish this work. Back to detailed pencil portrait after a while, probably the most consuming part was the abstract shapes all around. I had a lot of fun with this work and I think I'll do something of the kind soon.
Again I big thank you goes to Marcus Ranum and to the model Rael C. for the photo reference [link] .

Pencil, acrylic and pieces of waste cardboard; 23x31 cm watercolour paper.

Lovely piece! I have to say though, the painting looks a bit better in blue in my opinion, and the triangle shape in the middle seems to be pointing towards something but there's enough distraction in the shape of the woman as is. There's too many things pulling at the eyes at once- the fabric, the abstract shapes, the woman's position, etc. If you do something like this again, I suggest letting the top color bleed at a lower point. But overall, a lovely piece!

Thanks a lot for your constructive critic. You are right, I have a serious problem with the tendency of overworking, especially when I try something new. I think I'll do something of the kind in future and I'll take in mind your advices.
