Description A screen shot. We're working in this project, we make about 5-6 options for concept, this's one of them. Very wip, modeling is unfinished, don't have time to make final render at all (not requires now)... tomorrow I've to model another option ... tired (Each person have to model at least 1 different option for concept, boss is brutal jk).

Oh my! How did you texture that building?? Did you have to remodel all the faces so it had a space between them (that's my guess by looking at the wireframe model) or you did apply normals to simulate it? Fantastic work! I love the result and the HDRI (in my opinion) is perfect for the project Excellent work!

About "Did you have to remodel all the faces so it had a space between them" <--- I'm not really sure about your meaning. This screenshot is quite small to see all details. Check out bigger size - [link] Space between which geometry?

Yes! Spaces between the geometry! The rectangle form (like a pattern)

Space rectangle? Hm? I'm not sure about your question. But I don't have to remove any face or flipnormal any face. All elements in geometry modeled by editable poly and basic geometry. Maybe you think about it in complicated way or you saw it incorrectly (due previewsize or viewpoint)

Haha Keep it simple... don't be complicated like that~ Actually texture is very small task in this wip, and it's easy (almost what you see here is procedural tiles in max, mean no external texture or unwrap, just build-in procedural element do all job). Mapping is almost box UVMap for all box geometry. Diffuse slot assigned Tiles procedural map.

It's not a game object where you've to make delicated texture and little details like scratch, etc... It's concept arch image

I'll have to do more researches on that "procedural tiles"...Thx for the insight! ^_^

This is amazing Im using mental ray at the moment. How does Vray and Mental Ray compare to each other? Amazing work

Thanks. It's not really "amazing" as you said About MR, honestly I'm quite inexperienced in MentalRay although it's standard/default rendering engine come with 3dsMax. I get used trying Vray after short time using scanline (MentalRay is almost skipped, used it sometime but very rare). So I don't dare provide any personal choice to you.

People said about MR vay VRay, you probably already know. Vray is popular few years recently and almost used in archviz/productviz industry. MR is powerful and use for animation/film/VFX... but it's just what people say. I don't have experience that much to tell you my own idea.
