Description Okay, first the technical stuff:
--Done with the tablet (of course)
--Took all damn day (I never get to draw anymore)
--Ended up with 6 layers at the end: body lineart, hair lineart, skin color, hair color, shading/highlights, background
--Still not completely done (didn't even bother with doing anything cool to his eyes), but probably as done as it's gonna get
--Just so you know, the wind is blowing in this picture. He doesn't have a hair-gel addiction problem

Now, the juicy bits:
This is one Sumlam Brightwave: half aquatic elf, druid, and priest of Mernus, god of the sea/storms. He's one of the finest individuals you'll ever meet; his heart's too big for his own good. His life was fairly unremarkable until he met the piratess (that's a word, right? Right.) Rapunzel while inspecting the conditions of a prison where she was dying of fever/various wounds. Out of pity, he slowly nursed her back to health. They quickly become friends, and he helps her escape the prison, steal a ship, and return to the sea. They become mercenaries after their escape, later helping the coalition of western nations end the slave trade.

Thank you so much! I'm hoping that it wasn't a one-time stroke of luck. I can honestly say that I've never painted anything and had it come out that pretty. I usually fail miserably where color and shading are involved. I'm so glad you like it!

Ufft no chance man, sometimes you just have these amazing evolutionary pictures where something just clicks and your artwork isn't the same afterwards, I've had a couple, but really man, I am impressed. (And you do not usually fail! XB)
