Week 4

So.... I'm back, yay. So yeah I haven's posted for the last three weeks I know, I'm really behind schedule but cut myself some slack there were finals and I can't flunk out on those or else people will get suspicious of me (I did very well if anyone was wondering). But I'm back now and here it is the creation of my three week hiatus! …yeah it's not the best looking artwork but hey I'm a little rusty and these learning hands need some lubricant. I really do hope I could upload more since I'm on a three week holiday now and I have a lot of free time, I'll try but let's just see. Anywho that's enough about my life, on to the art itself. As you can see the eyes... are a little goofy - some might say derpy heh. I chose my reference a little bit more dynamically rather than just a cat standing in the void, so now it's cat crouching in a void! Yeah anatomy is still pretty wonky, I hope what the paws are doing make sense. Also I found a new way to shade and I used it here, it's like four time faster! Though do tell me if it looks better or not (comparing it to 'Spottedleaf'). Also as you can see I added a bit of more background *flair*, those are supposed to be grass blades but I didn't want to make them green because I thought it'll look nicer, tell me if the grass looks like grass or should I see grass more. Oh also the coat colour is more dynamic too, it's like a spotted tortoiseshell, tell me if it looks good or goofy

Anywho on to the subject of the picture itself, Baeoeoz! (However you pronounce that is correct!). They are the cat that I used on the early access version of Cattails: Wildwood Story demo. And oh my god the game is soo good! The demo is free if you want to try it out for yourself. Anyway I played it because I want to see the characters and it didn't disappoint, I was soo into everyone lives and like- aghh! My favourites were Elli and Coco. Anyways this picture isn't about them, it's about Baeoeoz. First of all, let's address the elephant in the room their name: so like the name I've been typing out it's wrong, because deviant art wouldn't let me use symbols (Killjoys!). The 'ae' are supposed to be conjoined so is the 'oe', while the 'O' and 'Z' after that are supposed to have symbols on top of them. One might ask, why? Because, I saw a bunch of weird letters as an option and tried to make a name out of it, simple. Now on to the actual character, Baeoez is nonbinary. Their eyes are actually based on the nonbinary flag, because I thought it was really fun that way. As for personality, usually I assign personalities to characters in games based on their actions in how I control them. So in this case, Baeoeoz is fast, they are really really effective both practically and emotionally, but this sometimes lands them in danger. They are one of the best hunters around and can take a beating. They'll eat anything that they could their paws on though they only eat if they really have to. A brutally effective leader that driven to protect their dynasty and build a thriving society. Though tough themselves to succeed they still take the time appreciate the cats around them that they usually run past by everyday. They also really like Coco

Now let's see what I can improve. Anatomy of course, but something that noticed is that the muzzles that I'm drawing aren't... muzzles, they're flat faces with the implied suggestion of it being a muzzle, so yeah that. Second of all the eyes, I don't know they just look... off. Finally, detail. As in tufts of fur, maybe making stuff a little more fuzzier just to make it not look like a lifeless round blob that implies a cat

Yeah, that should do it. Wow, I really went overboard here. Heh, what can I say I have a lot of thing to say. Anyway I just want to thank the people who just seen my stuff, you guys are awesome! Also again criticism is greatly appreciated
