And at the same day as the previous one, the end comes forth. My original idea for this page (as with the shrine thing from the previous page) was that a guillotine would cut his arm off as he stretched for the book, but since the blood loss from such an endeavor wouldn't allow him to survive even getting back to Alphonse, i changed it to something less lethal. Also, the shirt pocket thing was mostly because i forgot to draw Tom with a backpack. He was supposed in both versions to put the book in the backpack, but since i forgot, it turned into a shirt pocket. Tom managed to slowly and painstakingly get back to Alphonse, but it took a lot more time than when he started walking for exploring. So he was pretty determined to get to his best bud. He does get pale after being hit, maybe that's a bit hard to see.

Drawing and coloring the last six squares made me teary eyed. I got over it fairly quickly though. It's fun to draw. Is this mature content though? The original idea most certainly would have been.
