The symbolism..wondeful! Powerful piece, love it. I liked how his hands were chained to the canon he carries...as if it is a burden he'll have to carry for his whole life and weighing him down. He can never be free from the consequences of his sins. The hands grasping him, as if for mercy, but the sinner pays them no heed; the hands, dirt stained, now try to pull him down to the legions of hell...
