Abasi strolled alongside his friend, their reunion marking a lengthy gap since their last encounter. Peering down at Leo, Abasi pondered, 'What's on his mind?' Leo, albeit still small for a teenage lion, had noticeably matured, a trait Abasi admired. Abruptly halting, Leo's pause prompted a concerned glance from Abasi. "Is everything alright?" he queried. Leo hesitated briefly before shaking his head, offering a gentle smile. "Just reminiscing. It's been two years since you departed the pride, and now, upon our reunion, I discover you're a prince." Abasi chuckled, drawing nearer, his tail lightly brushing against Leo's hind leg. "Indeed, it was quite the surprise for me as well," he admitted, settling down and tilting his head sheepishly.

Leo blushed under Abasi's gaze. "So... Are you happy? You know, being a prince and all?" he asked nervously, easing himself down next to his friend. "Not really. I'm not cut out to be a leader. I'm not sure I even want to be a king," Abasi confessed, his tone laden with despondency as he absently kicked a pebble with his paw. Leo couldn't help but giggle, raising a teasing brow. "Ah, I see. Always been the lazy type, huh?" Abasi stumbled over his words, flustered. "W-what? No, I'm not! I just don't fancy the idea of shouldering the responsibility for a whole kingdom!" he protested, his voice rising slightly. Leo laughed, and Abasi smirked in response. "Oh, so you want to tease me now?" Abasi quipped, springing to his feet and assuming a playful stance.

Leo barely had time to react before Abasi pounced on him, and they tumbled down the hill together, laughter echoing around them as they finally came to a halt. Blushing brightly, Leo found himself lying atop Abasi, who gazed up at him with wide eyes. "I-I... sorry!" Leo stammered, attempting to shift away, but Abasi gently pulled him back with a paw. "It's okay. Let's just stay like this for a while," Abasi suggested, looking up at Leo. Leo's blush deepened. "Well, I-I suppose, since the prince suggests it," he replied, settling against Abasi's fur and purring softly. Abasi's cheeks tinged with color. "I wouldn't presume to order you around. I'm not your boss, you know," he whispered, nuzzling against Leo. "I-I wouldn't mind it," Leo responded quietly. Abasi met his friend's gaze, smiling. Leo chuckled. "I just mean, I'd willingly let you take charge," he said, locking eyes with Abasi. Abasi smiled back at his friend, grateful for their reunion. He vowed silently never to leave Leo's side again.
