Yugure is a InuYokai, and came from the same clan as Inu No Taisho. In fact, she is Inu No Taisho younger sister.

I always pictured Yugure like someone with strong will, refusing to follow others expectations. And she doesnt really see humans less. She found them intriguing and in secret learned more from them.

Well.... she is the younguest, and she was already betrothed to be the mate of another noble of another Inu Clan. I heard that Sesshomaru's mother came form another clan cause her marks of the moon and that helped me with the idea.

So in this case, Yugure's mating would be to join the clans. But she was already in love with a Yama-Inu. Its a mountain Dog. She refused at first, but gave her no choice cause Clan's traditions and laws. But before she was suppose to meet her fiance, she nd her love mated and she ended pregnant. And as dogs, it was pretty clear that she was.

At first, one would say, big biggie. But, it was treason for the other Clan. It was an Era were woman were only tools for marriage, even among Inu Yokai. To prevent a war and the death of his sister, Inu no Taisho, banished her from the Western Lands, but in secret, he told her she was free to choose her path, and she did. It was a banishment that would last 500 years, so she and her now Yama-Inu mate left to the south.

Im still working on the story, but in some point, before Yugure gave birth, she and her mate were chase down by some humans and among them a priest. They could fight, but Yugure refused to kill humans. In their running, they founded an old woman called Miwa, who took them in until Yugure could give birth. Once they left, they honored the woman for saving them, in naming her name Miwa.

In some point, Yugure and her mate were thorn apart form their daughter when she was merely a toodler during humans wars and never found her.

100 years passed by and she learned the news that Inu no Taisho died, crushing her. And the news become even more painful learning that her brother had a son with a human, and due her exile, she couldnt go and search for the infant.

But once her 500 years of exile, ended, she heard that Inuyasha was living in a human village married to a human. (this is post canon.xD) And found out that they even had children of their own. Causing her to go and search for them in order to meet her nephew and greatnephews, but with the intention to see if they were raised properly and if it was necessary take one child to foster.
