Description
This is my first ever digital portrait!I'm very pleased with how it turned out, although some parts are more detailed than others beause I was almost finished when I finally had the brainwave of adjusting the settings on my tablet to make the lines smooth.
I'm happy with it though. 17 hours

This is REALLY GREAT for your first digital portrait.
Mine was not as good as your's.
And you seemed to already master drawing the hair!
I already made about 20 digital pieces and still struggling with the hair.
Also, if I may ask...what tool do you use for smoothening?

By smoothening....I mean blending the colors you put in.
I saw your WIP where you laid down the colors and blended them afterward.
I always have a hard time doing that...
that's why I always use the soft brush.

Oh right! I just used the airbrush to go over the colours I'd already laid down. I'd pick the same colour and make the opacity very light so that it doesn't change the tones but still makes them smooth.

I used to be like that, until I got a tablet as a christmas present. I'm not sure how many different kinds there are but all I've got is a very small and very simple wacom tablet.

She's a doll lol, it kinda creeps me out...lol
Anyway, the reason she seems so lifeless is the eyes...they are beautifully painted. But they need light spots. Those little twinkles that are always there, and make people question what you are thinking.
But for your first try bloody well done. Better than me definaty.

your welcome. did the reference photo have different specks of colour? they often create that too. Like when you look min my eyes, at first they are mud brown, but if you look closer, they are green and gold speckled (at the moment, my eyes are crazy and actually change colour. Its so cool)

I've just looked at the reference again and there's not much colour, just mostly black with a bit of green. I'll have to make it up!
My eyes are like that too, and they change all the time. They're green-brown, but sometimes they look all green or all brown, and sometimes they're something else completely.

Always fun to do! Eyes are fun, you can put all sorts of colour into them!
Mine are crazy. mine switch between gold, green, hazel, brown, purple, reddish-brown, and occasionally blue. They are unnatural I think...
