PERSONALITY
Sophie is a individual with extremely high logical and emotional intelligence. She has extreme confidence in her own knowledge, but it doesn't affect her desire to continue learning anything that piques her interest. She thinks that each person has something to teach each other, so she never belittles those who are less knowledgeable than her. So she always strives to learn and do her best to the fullest and encourages others around her to do the same. She is firm in her actions, whether working on projects or dealing with the group through her diplomatic talents which helps to solve the problems that appear over time.
His witty and kind nature makes it possible for people to open up and trust it without major problems. She is hardly irritated by anything or anyone, but when she does, it is usually scary for everyone. Unlike Senku, she does not usually show exaggerations as to the fact that she uses others in her projects, as Kohaku claims that Senku seems like a villain at these times.
Her emotional intelligence started to grow when father started taking her on diplomatic trips and telling her about conversational tactics and good relations with other countries, which sparked in her an interest in diplomacy which she proved to be talented in the subject. It was also her father who introduced her to literary works with the character Sherlock Holmes. Trying to be more concerned with the emotions of others around her, something she didn't care about before as her studies and projects were everything. Factor that made her create a fast friendship with Asagiri Gen, since he is a talented mentalist.
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Genius Intellect: Sophie has proven himself to be incredibly intelligent and ingenious, proving it several times. Capable of swiftly communicating ideas with Senku as well as successfully solving various physics, engineering, strategic and scientific problems alike. His greatest knowledge and advantages are in engineering, physics and mechanics and a little bit of chemistry. Sophie is able to easily create various useful tools, gadgets and complex mechanisms and machines. She was the second character to appear whose mental resources can be rivaled by Senku, the first being Dr. Xeno.
Psychohlogy and Empathy: Sophie took a liking to the science of the human psyche after learning about Sherlock Holmes' books. She became more aware of the behavior of others around her. She can understand an emotional situation quickly, even though she is still steps behind Gen on the subject. She has learned a lot from him since they became friends.
Engineering and Mechanincs: She used to create machines and different mechanisms since she was a child. Trying all kinds of mechanics, from reproducing something already created to understand it or creating things of your own. In early adolescence, Sophie already had extensive knowledge in mechanics and engineering, she even owned her own workshop that was given to her by her parents. From the heaviest mechanics, like engines to the most delicate like computers. She tries to use what she knows to accelerate civilization in her field of knowledge as much as she can.
Linguistic Proficiency: Because of the diplomatic trips she took with her father, Sophie learned the basics of several languages. Sophie's most fluent languages are English, Japanese, Arabic, Espanhol and Swahili. Sophie is English, so her English is British, with a pronunciation and vocabulary from the United Kingdom. She learned Japanese with Senku when they were in the same group of African Studies on Ebola, since then she decided to become fluent in the language. At the time Sophie spent in Africa with the Study group, she felt the need and interest in learning local languages for better interaction. Then she acquired knowledge of the Arabic and Swahili languages.
Eidetic Memory: Sophie remembers every process and sequence of all the machines and things she built or studied. From each type of part, where and how to place and manufacture them. She is also extremely good at remembering sounds and symbols, which made it easier for her to learn more than one language even at a young age.
Diplomacy: Sophie had accompanied her father since she was a little girl on two diplomatic trips and learned a lot just from watching him and talking to him. It was thanks to one of these trips that she was able to study in Africa. She uses what she has learned to be a good leader and to have good relationships within her own group or with outside people.
TRIVIA
Her name is of Greek origin, Σοφία (Sophía) originally carrying a meaning of "cleverness, skill", the later meaning of the term, close to the meaning "wisdom, intelligence".
She states Sherlock Holmes was the starting point for her interest in Diplomacy and is her favorite literary series.
She demonstrates a love for video games too, from all types of countries. Although he became interested in Japanese games after meeting Senku.
Unlike Senku and most scientists in the series. Sophie believes in God, her whole family is. But she does not disagree with different beliefs. A fact that ends up yielding some unusual and intriguing dialogues between her and Senku.
Her last name was a reference of mine to the 1999 movie "The Mummy". My favorite movie.
