Description Small update to the description of the characters;
First of all, let's get the formalities out of the way;

Many thanks go to my good friend www.deviantart.com/stalhammer for creating this near masterpiece. Lots of love, bro!

And special thanks go to dreamcuphk's for creating the Fennec race mod for Skyrim  steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles… and props also go to Foxyfullmoon  www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/… and Elfendrago  steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles… for creating Ivory and Soran respectfully. Their awesome editions for any modded Skyrim player looking to RP as a Lilmothiit.

Secondly, it should be noted that, yes, there are (or rather 'were') Fox beastmen in the Elder Scrolls called Lilmothiit, who use to live and thrive in Black Marsh. According to lore, they were wiped out by the fabled Knahaten flu that originated in Black Marsh, which serves to explain why they were never seen in any of the games aside from select lore items.
From what I have learned, they were heavily resistant to Magic, to the point that they barely could even cast any Magical spells. So they focused on Enchantment and Conjuration, as those forms of magic mainly focused on the power of Souls, which made them notorious Necromancers. However, this bit of lore could be disputed, as I've only read of it once and couldn't verify or debunk it there after.

Right, now for the character overviews, from left to right; (note there might be some contradictions to the lore that will be explained at the end)

Character Bios - Sa'dow:
Sa'dow is, quit simply, the Dragonborn. That about covers most of his skills and his access to magical powers. The difference is, besides being a Lilmothiit, is that he's seemingly immortal as far as age goes, as he has been around since the beginning of the Oblivion Crisis, through the Great War between the Empire and Dominion, and all the way up to and long after Miraak's attempted resurgence. His earliest memory is simply waking up in a small cell within the Imperial Prisons of the Imperial City, shortly before meeting Emperor Uriel Septim VII himself. How he got there and why he can't remember anything before that he does not know, but over the many years that his life went on he began suspecting the gods may have had a hand in it. He's zealously loyal to the Empire - more than likely instilled into him through the Divines themselves - and would sacrifice near anything if it means protecting or saving it. That said, his loyalty is to the Empire as a whole - not necessarily to whomsoever may be sitting upon it's throne. Aside from that, he also takes great pride in being a former member of the Blades, as they were the first group to have welcomed him into they're fold and provided him with training and kinship during his first days on Nirn. After the Oblivion Crises had been overcome, at the great cost of his dear friend Martin Septim the First and Last, he went on to find a new purpose in his life besides being a zealot of the Empire. After spending months joining and climbing the ranks of the numerous Guilds and Knightly Orders around Cyrodiil, he finally found his calling again; and became the new Divine Crusader. A role he would constantly step in and out of over the years even after the rest of the Order fractured and splintered following the war with the Dominion. Although his street-cred with the Divines is somewhat dubious and shaky at best, they continue to watch over him and his misadventures across Tamriel, as does his patron Daedric Prince's - Hircine, Nocturnal and Sheogorath (the last of which he technically was at one point, but then wisely gave the title and responsibility over to his advisor; Haskill). Not long after the Civil War in Skyrim broke out, Sa'dow, now a member of the Penitus Oculatus after the rest of the Blades were wiped out, was assigned the task of assassinating one Ulfric Stormcloak, a task he nearly failed at when he was mistaken for a criminal trying to illegally cross the border, by the Imperial forces that had coincidentally captured Ulfric Stormcloak not too long before he had entered Skyrim. With his head on the literal chopping block, fate had other plans as the World Eater Alduin entered the fold and inadvertently saved him from what might have been his final end. And thus the Dragon Crisis began, and as it happened the Divines had more plans for Sa'dow than he had thought possible; for he was more than just a champion sent by the gods - he was Dragonborn.

Character Bios - Ivory:
Ivory is something of an oddball compared to her lover Sa'dow. A few years before the Umbra Crisis, Sa'dow had gone on an excursion to Black Marsh, in the hopes of finding any information he could of his presumably extinct kin; the Lilmothiit. Stumbing around the marsh and swampland, he soon came upon an old Lilmothiit ruin - the last of three he happened to have come across and explored during his excursion. This one was different, however. A vault of some kind - designed to house mystical and magical treasures of times long past, as was his first thought upon entering it. He wasn't entirely wrong, as it turned out. It was at the center of his vault where he first laid eyes upon the love of his life - Ivory, suspended in a crystal clear sarcophagus of permafrost ice. Releasing her from her frigid prison, Sa'dow quickly managed to rouse her from her deep sleep, as she awakened for the first time in countless centuries - cradled caringly within his warm arms. To Sa'dow dismay however, the long years of stasis has robbed Ivory of much of her memory before her entombment, leaving her in a state similar to his when he first waked within the cold prison cell all those years ago. Nevertheless, the two of them quickly formed an everlasting bond after that; an unexpected familiarity seemingly existing between the two of them beside they're shared lack of memory upon waking up for the first time. He would go on to guide her in adapting to life in the world again - something he didn't have the luxury of having after his timely 'birth.' For whatever reason, she decided to follow in his footsteps and devoted herself to the Penitus Oculatus as well, as an Agent of the Empire. It didn't take them long for them to discover her affinity for Ice magic; but behind this seemingly natural aptitude lied a hidden curse; during moments of great distress or heated battle, she would lose herself to her powers and proceed to try and destroy everything around her with what could only be described as hellfrost. Growing more and more concerned with her lose of control every time it happened, Sa'dow went on further excursions to find any and all information he could on the Lilmothiit - specifically what exactly the vault was she was held prisoner within and why. Eventually, he uncovered another such vault - one which was clearly designed in similar ways as the one that held Ivory, yet was clearly made to hold a being of a different kind of power entirely - a being of Fire. But at the center of the vault where it's prisoner should be held, all Sa'dow found was an empty chamber. Exploring further, he discovered that this vault was in far less disrepair than the last one had been and quickly came across an archive of sorts that held significant amounts information regarding what he was searching for; and what Ivory and these vaults were. He didn't know how he could read the ancient Lilmothiit texts, nor did he care - he simply knew. According to them, these vaults, how many there were he could not say, were designed to house powerful magical weapons of war; and Ivory was one such weapon;Yes, she was a Lilmothiit, but also something else. Something the Lilmothiit had created called "Maa-Gerra-Sharm Wa'akkier." Since the Lilmothiit were allegedly known to have a natural disability when it came to using Magic, they used their knowledge of Mysticism, Soul Manipulation and Enchantment to create augmented versions of themselves that held a strong affinity for certain schools of Magic. Sometimes, the power these beings were gifted with was far more powerful and unstable for them to use safely, and Ivory was one such being. The revelation ultimately left Sa'dow with nothing more than when he went in search of it. However; it did cause him to pause a moment longer within the prison chamber. He lamented for a while how he had such a strong affinity for Fire Magic for as long as he could remember, for all forms of magic in fact even if he struggled with a lot of them, when in truth he shouldn't be able to wield conventional magic at all. He mused about the chamber he stood in, noting again how it was clearly designed to hold a being of tremendous feats of Fire Magic and wondered again why it held no prisoner. Something was familiar about this place - and he didn't know why, but he had several guesses... and, perhaps, several questions he would ask of the Divines one day, when he could finally speak to them directly. When that day was he didn't know - but he had a feeling within his gut that that day will come. For now, he had both an Empire and a wife he needed to protect.

Character Bios - Soran:
The son of both Ivory and Sa'dow. The story of this young kit is still a young one, and even then it already began in significant ways. One day, during a time when they had made they're home within the Imperial city of Solitude after the Civil War had ended, young Soran was playing with the other children of the city in the streets late one afternoon, kicking a leather ball around between themselves. One of the children had kicked the ball down one of the city alleyways, and Soran had gone after it. That was when he was suddenly attacked by a Vampire. Already being partially skilled with a Dagger he carries around with him - something his father saw to for his own safety - he managed to kill the fell thing as it attacked him, but not before it took a sharp bite out of him. This Vampiric bite combined with his inherit Necromantic powers, made it hard for him to actually want to be cured and he kept the attack secret from his parents until after his transformation. An interesting fact that came from this was that he's also part Werekin because of his father - whom is a pack member of the Companions - which meant Soran didn't truly turn into an undead once his transformation took over. He had secretly begun spending his allowance to buy books and tomes regarding Necromancy and the Worm Cult and began conducting very tame experiments in his free time. However, he always made sure to steer clear of anything unsavory; usually involving blood rituals, Black Soul Gems, and animating corpses larger than a Skeever. His Vampiric Curse was ultimately discovered however, shortly after his pet fox, Mawfang, died from natural causes, and in his grief he used what he had learned to bind it's souls to White Soul Gem before transferring it over to a Briar Heart planet he acquired, which he then implanted into Mawfang's chest, before finally forcing it to take a bite out of his own arm - so that his semi-immortal blood could flow into Mawfang as well, brining his dead pet back to life - more alive than ever before even. At first, his parents were shocked by the revelation, and Sa'dow insisted they take him to be cured - after they put Mawfang down; but Soran adamantly refused either of those options. Reluctantly, his parents accepted his decision, and thankfully found that his bloodlust wasn't as much as a problem as they expected it would be; and neither was the sun for the most part, besides experiencing severe cases of sunburn far more often than others normally did. As of the moment, he hasn't gone on any adventures yet, not such as the ones his mother and father had gone on, but until that time does finally come he's been training and sharpening his skills in what ever way he could manage. Showing a knack for Mysticism and Necromancy and to keep him as far away from the Cult of the Worm as possible - his father took him to Solstheim to be taught by the Dunmer Wizard-Lord Neloth of House Telvanni, who's House has had a long history of mastering the arts of Dunmer Holy Necromancy. It wasn't easy to get Neloth to agree at first - especially when asked to train a non-Dunmer in they're ancient and former sacred ways (much less a Vampire at that) but also because, as it happened, the Dark Elves have allegedly long since then abandoned those ancient, now taboo traditions of theirs. Pointing out Neloth's blatant hypocrisy considering the experiments he's been conducting the last time they met didn't help much either, but he did ultimately relent after making a deal with Sa'dow; all he need do is retrieve yet another ancient artefact for him. Ironically enough, Neloth still didn't intend to train young Soran even if his father returned with the artefact (which he did) but as it turned out; the young aspirant knew how to brew a proper cup of Tea. Though a pleasant surprise for once, he was also impressed with the young student's reanimated pet; and the fact that it was still animate with much of its soul and mental functions still working after so many years, showing much potential for the young aspirant's future. When Soran wasn't studying under Neloth, he would journey back to his homeland of Skyrim, where he would receive training from both the Companions and (once again with much protest) from the Dawnguard - another of his father's associated guilds. When he finally reached the age of 18, his father - despite all attempts to sway him to paths other than this - reluctantly accepted him into the Dark Brotherhood, as an Assassin of dusk and midnight. Despite his reluctant, Sa'dow couldn't help but smile at Soran afterwards - at the man he had become. Like father, like son.

(more fluff related to this to come at a much later date, hopefully.)

Is the resistance and inability to use magic coming from anything official? Cause I looked and couldn't find anything referencing the Lilmothiit's magical prowess or a lack there of.

 I first heard of them in a YouTube video covering rare creatures in Elder Scrolls, which directed me to an in game series of books called the "Pocket Guide to the Empire."

I can't remember which one of the books it was though. There are several versions/edition spread across several of the games. I do remember hearing it mentioned in a lore video on YouTube recently too, but I also forgot which one. Sorry. :/
