quick-ish painted concept for my Shivali-Empire character and his beast.
I left him mostly silhouetted so I could hash out his design later in more detail, but basically im thinking hes an ancient samurai who traded part of his soul to a night demon in exchange for immortality. He received an enchanted cape, which negates his aging and needs (food, water, shelter,) but as an added price, he can't dwell in broad daylight or remove the cloak. If he does either he turns into a pile of bones. Suba has come to be his companion but was originally tasked by the demon to retrieve the cloak if (when) samurai-guy manages to kill himself.
