Just with small adjustment like, focal point, some highlights and shadows on the tentacle and a backlight it looks definitly more realistic.

I don't think it looks overworked! The orange backlighting really improved the piece for sure, and the extra bit of contrast brings your focus to the eye. The before one doesn't hold my interest but this one really does. Its interesting how a small change can really make a huge difference. Great work!

Oh sry it seems like I used not the correct word. In german we say "overworked" also when we update something, when we put a bit more work into...
I'm very happy how it comes out at least and yeah amazing what a bit more values and a backlight can do

Oh, okay! The word I usually use for that would be "reworked". I associate "overworked" with 'I spent too much time on this and it got stale'. But that could just be me haha. c:
