The face that launched a thousand ships!
The most beautiful face on the planet - Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 "Cleopatra".
This was meant to be a quick sketch to accompany my recent auction of my 11 1/2 inch repainted Cleopatra doll. Unfortunately, it never made it to the auction. And the sketch turned out to be a little more detailed than I had planned. Just me getting carried away.

Lovely work. The eyes are especially good - although I would have liked to see a little shading on the whites and it would have looked more natural.
P.S. I believe it was Helen of Troy who launched a thousand ships, not Cleopatra
