Regardless that you used references for the dress, etc., I am always amazed at how true artists as yourself are able to draw clothing in original styles. I may give this one a try with coloring. However, it would be a challenge as it looks as though I will have to ink it. And I feel as though I am desecrating true art when I do that.
However, I accept the challenge as it is and will not bother you for an inked version.
(I really should be trying to get a job instead of doing these types of things. Oh well.)

Ink away bro. The sketch/lineart isn't this clean in real life. Thanks to the magic of Photoshop you don't see all the erasures and smudges. For me, I don't like to ink things that I'm planning on watercoloring later down the line. As I'm typing this, I'm readying my monochrome sepia ink (homemade!) for the initial wash over the drawing.
Yeah, I tried hard to not do the typical pretty pretty princess bit for my rendition of Queen Mary. I know the in game sprite for her isn't that detailed (because it was for the 8-bit Famicom (NES)).

ah thanks! To me, the devil is in the details and complex period fashion has a lot of it.
