This came about while I was listening to Lady Gaga's APPLAUSE

And while I've heard others call her overrated, I am inclined to believe that such derogatory comments were made without knowing the hard work she put to get to where she is now, that she decries discrimination (and aggressively fights it), writes about being comfortable in your own skin, finding one's individuality and creative voice (among other things).

Being a complete emotional wreck and having very little confidence in myself (despite my ardent fervor to chase my dreams, which will never cease to burn), I bawled when I watched an interview where she said that if you draw and want to draw then pursue it rather than let yourself believe that you're better off being a doctor or something. I was at a low point then and hearing her say that, as if she were talking directly to me, hit home.

I'm no music critic, but when a song inspires me to create something, I consider it a good one.
