wow...this is pretty good I like it alot.
like some of the others said keep drawing and yuoll improve, I know i did...no if only my scanner worked...

It perplexes me that so many people seem to have trouble with scanners. I got my first scanner in 1990, and it worked great for the entire time I owned it. I later bought a higher resolution scanner that gave me no problems either. Now, to save space, I use an all-in-one machine, and its scanner works great too.
Maybe people are buying the wrong brand. What kind is yours?

There's your problem. Avoid any scanner that isn't from a company you recognize. UMAX scanners really suck. HP, Canon, and Epson are really good.

Yeah, I think I have a pretty good handle on shading and effects. My problem is with line art. It's really tough for me to ink line art without it looking like I have Parkinson's. Not only that but my line art is rather stilted and un-lifelike.
