Whoa! Holy $H*+ that looks like the artwork for the Crow comics! Wow, I mean, wow. Good detail on the outfit by the way.Β
The face is about the same quality but the detail on everything else is legendary. Like from a realistic comic book. It's like looking at an anime that had real intense realistic quality but still wanted the faces to have an anime feel.Β
Kind of also looks like an X men character.Β

As for the thing she holds in her hand - it's the beret she had on her head in one of her designs. I also tried to fir the hatchet that was hidden under her clothes, but it didn't match the composition, so I deciced to left it out. I hope it's okay.

Can I ask you a casual question?Β
When you were drawing this picture, was there any franchise or artstyle that Β you were looking to for inspiration? I mean besides the pictures I showed you..did you get images or thoughts that said "wow, this reminds me of this, or this reminds me of that."Β
I ask because, ya know, I said it reminded me a bit of Tim Burton's Batman, Xmen, and Crow comics. Something I didn't expect. So I was wondering if there were any outside influences for your take on my OC...

Not anything direct, I think - I just used your reference.
But by saying 'not direct' I mean that our imagination is always influenced by the things we perceive. I do watch a lot of anime, but I don't follow western comics that closely. I do research a lot of medival armors, male anatomy - that would probably be my inderect influence on creating Kat's armor.

The detail on her metal grieves is beautiful, with both the scratches and reflection. The ears are better than last time, and her hair is so much more detailed. *puts on eye monocle* "A yes, exquisite."
You really did a good job making her look powerful, and her outfit have enough detail out of a crow comic, an x men movie, and a Tim Burton Batman movie.Β
To be fair, I don't see that as a sunset in black and white. It really looks more film noire or gothic, like I half expect to see Batman or hear a werewolf in the background. But it is a good look none the less.Β
I guess in case Vampire Hunter D needs a side kick that can keep up (LOL Jk.)
