Director's Commentary: And my Gantlos being a ‘nerd’ again lol. Yeah, I could have let Tecna do this instead for this scene, but she’s more of a different type of nerd. Her intelligence is, u could say, ‘literally’ on the facts, like ‘by the book’ NO MATTER WHAT. So, she’s more of a ‘tech nerd’ or a ‘Google translator’. For me, Gantlos uses facts as well but can relate and compare these to reality better than Tecna. I lean more towards 4kids dub b/c not only it’s more naturally spoken, but also due to trying to explain and naming stuff especially in parts where RAI are usually ‘quiet’ on. Usually, different universes ‘skip’ this kind of stuff expecting us to know it as general knowledge. For example, in the majority of the Fire Emblem series, I wish it explained more of how a tactician thinks and works, like show or explain why they’re so smart or let me see the process and the strategies.
