Trivia: Duman's other 'wolf' form, used briefly once in WC S4E04, has a lot of similarities to one of the unnamed creatures living in the Wildlands (debut in S2E21-22). One key difference is that the Wildlands's versions are peaceful creatures and only eat plants and fruits. This fact could also mean that the Wizards of the Black Circle did search Magix during their Fairy Hunt since Wildlands is located there. One possible reason for them not going to reasonable locations in Magix like Alfea before WC S4 is that they want their presence to be less known to continue their hunt and thus avoid unnecessary conflicts, such as informing the Magix Council or Fortress of Light.

Director's Commentary: Yes, so Duman’s accidental whack from his Craven tail sent Bloom flying into this big hole in the tree. Love the comparison between Wildlands wolf form and Bloom’s ‘revisualization’ of a possible Duman look to this. Oh, the bkgd for 3rd scene is inspired by the Revisualization feature in the Ace Attorney series making the protagonist review his/her thinking to reach a decisive conclusion in their head in a dire situation. The difference is that I used Bloom’s colors from her Winx transformation. Another inspiration is in the 1st scene from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess particularly in Link’s wolf form and his ability to use his nose to follow a scent trail. Hence why I made Bloom’s Extrasensory magic trail seems so faint compared to what we’ve seen in FLM CH 3 for instance. Again, she can’t “physically follow” this and she’s actually using her magic to find her sword from a long distance. Hmm, I haven’t thought of this now, but it’s curious why Duman doesn’t use particular transformations compared to others like his Wolf and Hawk forms. Based on his least number of times for some of his transformations, such as the Craven, Wildlands wolf creature, and Gargoyle, its prob due to his preferences and his pride, and/or these ones just take too much energy to conjure. For example, have u guys noticed that he doesn’t really have a ‘feminine’ or ‘cute’ animal-like creatures in his arsenal or ever change into female humans? Plus, his powers are the most active in WoBC and thus, understandable for his end in WC S4. This is one of the reasons why I gave my Duman partial transformations. Again, trying to give ‘happier’ endings for most, if not try all, WC characters.

Other than Bloom’s explanation, how did she conclude that this creature is Duman? I mean her visualization isn’t ‘all that accurate’…

True, I intentionally made a few mistakes on Bloom’s visualization, such as the markings on Duman’s cheeks. Don’t forget, she has Earth knowledge. So, it’s ‘no’ surprise she might be thinking of this as a ‘demon’ or even an ‘anime character’. Plus, and without Duman’s knowledge (due to his pride and ego lol), his actions actually gave hints to Bloom with his transformations that she had seen so far particularly the partial Bear (e.g. – pink eye markings) and Craven (e.g. – Craven tongue) forms. Also, this ‘animal’ is trying to ‘kill’ Bloom, well, at least it doesn’t like her one bit. So, u try to have a thought process when you’re backed up in a corner in this situation. This is why Bloom didn’t ‘think’, for instance, of the pink mane feature. HOWEVER, THE most notable feature is the scar on Duman’s left side that gave him away.

This might be obvious, but did Bloom’s action from before, particularly her shield tactic, give this scar to Duman?

Yes, good spotting! Hence, the “slice” in page 59. It’s just that I didn’t let u guys see this before :3

How come Duman didn’t ‘heal’ the scar before transforming?

Interesting point! Keep this in mind and let’s keep on reading! But yeah, it’s mainly due to Bloom’s plot armor. I needed to give a hint to Bloom that she’s actually facing Duman in this scene.
