Easter Egg Total: 1
· First “creature” statue encountered by Bloom when exploring the halls where portraits of past WC villains are hanging in the Hall of Enchantments (WC S4E01)
Trivia: Damned, meaning “condemned by God to suffer eternal punishment in hell” (Google dictionary), is a word that’s usually could be heard when referring to religion. For instance, one of Disney’s movies which has a dark story behind it is The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996). The antagonist, Judge Claude Frollo damned Esmeralda as a witch. In Victor Hugo’s classic novel (1831) of this, one of the most memorable quotes is: “Dost thou understand? I love thee! He cried again. ‘What love!’ said the unhappy girl with a shudder. He resumed,--‘The love of a damned soul.’” (Book Eighth, Chapter 4) Want to read more?: etc.usf.edu/lit2go/107/the-hun…
Director’s Commentary: Other than the Easter Egg info above, this “creature” is unknown. It could be just a “decorative” piece before the hall with all the WC villain portraits in the Hall of Enchantments in S4E01. Off the top of my head, I don’t remember there’s a magical creature seen in the show that looks similar to this. The best I can think of this could be is an unnamed Legendarium creature that’s seen in the WC S6 trailer but hadn’t physically appeared in S6 itself. I love the dark effects I did for this page.
*can’t see color coding of the chanting*…who is saying this?
Hint: Actually, Bloom gave u the hint. Who are the ones we know so far that ‘laughs’ in this chapter? Check next page.
