Ooh, I really like what you did with the fur here. Those areas of solid color, but in many colors, with different furry edged borders. If I had to cut my favorites gallery in half, or into an even smaller amount of faves, this is one that would have to remain in my favorites gallery through all that. I looked at all the detail in the fur- and wanted to ask- how did you manage such a large resolution? Do you have a 4K monitor? Was this done in photoshop, illustrator, SAI, or another program?
Good luck in the contest, I think you have a very strong entry here. I just love the realism and sincerity in that expression.

I only have a 13" macbook pro, and I use photoshop CS4 and a Bamboo Pen&Touch tablet for my digital art.
