No matter what society you live in, its standards yank people on way and its effects jerks people another direction. This is quite true in North America, especially in media aimed at teens.To any confused person out there, this means you're never going to live up to whatever standards society has. Be yourself and try not to get too involved with some of the crazy shit being thrown at you. Live up to your own standards. Don't expect anything from people, they're unpredictable.

Hypocrisy is human nature. We all live by the sense of thinking "it's okay when I do it, but it isn't when you do it." Sometimes you subconsciously think that way. Some people are kind enough to not be as hypocritical as everyone else.

Society: "Transgender is a mental illness!" "Furries are gross!!" "I support laws that goes against personal freedom!" "Let's bully him!" etc.

to be welcomed in society, all you have to do is be an individual
you also have to follow the same trends as everyone else, like the same music as everyone else, if you don't then you're lame, you can't be smart cuz then your a nerd, you can't be dumb cuz then your a moron, if you're a man then you should like men things and only men things, if you're a women then you should like women things and only women things
other then that, just be yourself
