in my country it is fairly usual for a writer and a drawer to associate and collaborate on a story that is then sent to publishing houses for approval (and why not publication). Don't you have a similar culture of co-creating comics or graphical novels ? I am sure plenty of writers would love to create a story on the basis of your characters and story that you would like to draw !
