Description On August 14, 2014, a small group of Ukrainian border guards went into combat with pro-Russian separatist, defending a bridge near a checkpoint on the State Border "Uspenka". The bridge was the only way to another bank of a river. Chief Warrant Officer Roman Diumin was badly wounded and died after the combat.

Грустно смотреть. Я из Луганска и еще не забыл, как с российской границы наши околицы (август 2014 были под контролем ВСУ) накрывали реактивные системы залпового огня ВС РФ.

Я тоже помню. И ребята-пограничники вспоминают - как будто это было совсем недавно. Сами не заговаривают, как правило, но если начать тему, то они просто выплескивают воспоминания.
А возле памятников или после того, как вспомнили о погибших, часто звучит глухое: "Не забудем. Не простим".
