Nala: I can't believe Simba yelled at me. Why does he have to act like that way? *sobbing*

This looks like the scene after "Can You Feel The Love Tonight". You know, after she and Simba's argument. From Nala's point of wiew.

It takes a while! I've been drawing TLK art for around two years now and I'm only just beginning to figure out what I'm good at and what makes my art distinctive. It's all about being willing to try new things, if you see a style you like, try to emulate it, and chances are you'll get your own ideas while doing it, and find things that you just have a knack for getting right. Good luck with it!

I adore this! Very well done. Poor Nala ... it would feel like an abandonment ...

yeah! four dots with a paintbrush. best done on seperate layers though. On one, 0% hardness brush, really soft, yellow, low opacity, and dab it on a few times for the glow. For the fly itself, white, harder brush, high opacity, one big dot in the middle for the body, two little dots either side at the top for the wings. Hey presto, firefly.

I've always loved them too, so I'm glad I decided to try it out. As frustrating as it was at times, I'm pretty happy with the finished result. And thanks!

I'm so glad you like it! <3 And yuss, the fireflies were a last minute stroke of genius - I felt the bottom right hand corner in particular was very dark and dull, and I suddenly thought I KNOW! FIREFLIES! I love how the 'lighting' on the leaves come out. Yay gradients!

LOL emotes EVERYWHERE! Gradients help so, so much, even on their own. The five leaves on the left, near Nala's head? Spent about two hours on them alone, because the comic-y style clashed with the gradient of blues in the grass below. I was fit to give up over it, and then I thought, hey, what about putting gradients on the leaves? The OUTLINE is still comic-y, but the colouring will blend with the grass! And hey presto, it worked. Definitely something I would recommend to ANYONE to try.
