Description One whole half of a spiral wrap taken by a good friend.

It took us an hour of trying to get this shot, and despite gloves i wrapped the poi around my wrists on this exact attempt and burned them pretty badly... BUT lets face it.... we got the shot and it was worth it

This is a FANTASTIC shot of this! Me and my boyfriend can never get the right ones of what we want.

I love the symetry of this. Plus the fire is always beautiful. :] *fav*

I must have Naruto on the brain because that's what I thought of when I saw this. Excellent shot of the flames!

*HUG*

Nope, thats how it came off the camera.
I think we must have taken a good 50 photos trying to get it though!

Haha, yeah I read that! It sounds really painstaking. But I think the result was worth it! Do you need to use a special mode to shoot in the dark like that, or is the light of the fire enough? (Sorry, I'm really not a photographer (though I do enjoy it), so I don't know a lot about it hehe.)

hehe, no, all you need is a camera with a variable shutter speed. We were using about 2 second long exposures to get the trails right and that was it. Was alot of fun!

I guess you have to use a tripod to keep the camera still though, eh? But it does sound like fun!

Wow, that's dedication! I've been photographing some poi/staff, but I basically just shoot away and hope to get something good rather than try to set up particular patterns. Has definitely paid off here, though!

Thank you
It's nice when people understand how difficult poi is to photograph, but yup was worth every bit of burnage!
