Ah ok, I personally animate and commission anthros mostly because their easier to draw than humans (in my opinion); and the various different races allow you more flexibility in background and setting.

It's a team effort, I give her certain design choices like the vest over the turtle neck and the baggy cargo pants, and she makes it a reality.
I'm just glad she has a lot of experience with anthros and clothing. Anyway, feel free to comment on her page, I'm sure she'd love to hear from a fan.

I think I'm going to have fun having her personality sometimes have odd quirks like a cat; but mostly she'll be used in stealth scenes where she has to sneak through some kinda area without being seen or heard.

Well Cassandra is an "alterrian", which is basically more of a stealthy and quick type of race, not as well suited to aggression or direct combat. Alterrains believe in fooling their enemy and getting what they want without their prey even realizing they were there.
Lanre is a "volterran", which is a much larger and more predatory type of race. Now the Volterrans still believe in the use of stealth, but they don't use it as exclusively, and more often that not will use force, propaganda, and political maneuvering to achieve their ends just as much as subterfuge.
Also in this particular case, despite the fact that the volterrans and alterrains happen to have similar names and both be feline they are not the same race, nor are they related. However, eventually on the wolf side there will be two other canid races that are long lost colonists of theirs. I just didn't want everything to be that coincidental. Having one or two direct links is fine, having all of them be linked would be eye-rollingly bad storytelling.

I was considering it, but the different anthro races are kinda each supposed to represent different cultures and ways of thinking within our present day and history, so it would be kinda confusing to put humans into the story-line unless their culture had changed significantly in some way.
Probably if I did put in humans, they would likely be wearing space suits all the time to conceal their identity; likely they would move in the background mysteriously, being careful to keep their motives and actions well concealed.
It could be interesting, it all depends on if my artists like the idea and if the concept art looks good enough to move forward on.
So to answer your question "Maybe in the future".

Quite a ways. Right now I'm working on completing all the main characters and getting their basic storyline etched out.
Then I'll start working on expressions, posing, gestures, misc movements, etc. All to make sure that when their talking and emoting their not holding 100% still like statues.
Then After that likely I'll be working on action posing and effects.
Finally I'll start adding misc props, natural backgrounds (dunes, bluffs, mountains, trees), vehicles and buildings.
Then after ALL of that, I may be ready for actual complete episodes.
Thankfully I've done this one or twice before on other accounts so I have some experience, I'll also hopefully have the build up fan page support by the time I'm ready to release the first few episodes.
To answer your question most generally. I'm hoping "late August, early September". We'll see if my estimate is realistic as I render the workload.

Most animations on Youtube seem to be quite short and infrequent lasting up to 3-6 mins. How are you planning to go about that?

Well this is meant to be a more persistent kinda project, so most episodes would probably be more like 8-10 minutes I'm hoping.
That said it won't jump from scene to scene to scene as often as a typical youtube video, and will probably be a lot more focused on the characters, their interactions with the world, and the telling of the background with the planets history as well as the various factions on it vying for political and economic power.
I think you run up against a limit if your submissions go over the 20 minute mark without some kinda special exception, but I was probably going to move between three groups of characters whenenever the group that we were focusing on has to do something relatively mundane; think of the style of 24 or game of thrones, how it's usually concentrating on whoever is most moving the plot forward while letting other characters fall by the wayside until they have something important to do.
That said, I do plan on having action scenes. But likely to keep it from becoming totally overwhelming it will probably shift to more of a 2D kinda perspective with occasional bits in 3D when it involves the characters directly. My hope is that if the character are compelling enough and the story-line and background are interesting enough that people will forgive action scenes that are perhaps more impressively done elsewhere.

Yeah with her I wanted to experiment a little bit, give her more of a vibrant hair color to counter her dark fur.
As you might guess this character is going to be primarily stealth focused, and scenes involving her will likely be rendered differently than other characters.
Anyway, I'll post her full bio tomorrow to keep the momentum rolling.

Nope, there's kinda three main groups in the storyline:
Brack's team (main protagonists).
Lanre and her corporate handler (Volterran antagonists).
Griggs, Vaergas, and the Soldien security force (Soldien antagonists).
Each of them are going to be playing different parts in the storyline, but their points of view are all viewing the same situation from different perspectives, showing a much larger whole in the process.
Hopefully it works out, and doesn't become a convoluted mess.
