Description "Memory is a wonderful thing if you don't have to deal with the past. "

touch me
and i will dissolve into molecules,
losing myself in the sand

beside me
you gape past the skin on my lips
but i'm so many miles away from your hands
that curiously trace mirages on my body.

i start to lose you
somewhere in illusions that tile the ceiling
as cold ceramic that chills my feet.

i peel
like fresh fruit into your struggling hands.
your thumb finds my sore spot, your nail finds my spine
and here are the strips of my scented raw flesh.

close your eyes
to piece me together from memory
pixelating my body of thunder and age
heal the cracks with your oral medication
stamping my skin into something of rage.

I agree with *ksmsoccer89.
That last stanza is my favorite part of the whole piece.
