Actually, even just Lang on his own *swooooooooon* hahaha! What I wouldn't give to be in Franziska's position right now.

I'd like some feedback on the coloring and the background
I'm not entirely confident about how I went about coloring it in (ahem*withoutreference*ahem) not to mention my technique of blending and shading could use a little more work (and practice for that matter). I just winged it and this came out 
Also, a question about the background: umm, I should've put in figures or shapes, right? Would it look better? If I had wanted it to remain abstract, I should not have made the bed and pillows, right?
I sincerely need an opinion on how to improve the background so that it's more suitable (and less lazy-looking LOL) for the characters and the scene. Thanks a bunch! (sorry for sounding desperate for insights but I'll admit I am
) It'll help me loads on how to carry out future colored works in this style.Otherwise, enjoy

I think the background looks just fine. By keeping it simple, you focus all the attention on Lang and Fransziska (which is what they deserve, of course :3)

The anatomy is nice and the lighting is wonderful. I struggle with backgrounds as well (I usually make them transparent.) The colors you used match the setting very well. I'm not sure of what to give as a suggestion but I can say you did an excellent job!Β

Also, I did consider the transparent background however I don't think it suits the "painterly style" of coloring I decided to go with, haha. Perhaps if I had cell-shaded or used more blocky/cartoony shadowing etc. it might look acceptable

These two need some much more love~ I've found some really good fanfics of them on FanFiction so I read those in my spare time~

What I really like about this is the lighting. 
I do think the man's head seems a bit narrow, and the left arm a bit short. I'd also define the muscles a bit more. Try a reference.
But other than that, I really can't suggest much.
In regards to the background, I'd try and keep it simple. This is a very nice piece, and I think an overly-detailed background would overpower the people.

Ah, makes sense. Fanart is really difficult when there's 3 pictures of a character. The head just seemed a bit...rectangular I guess?

I really like this painting because I think it's executed quite well. I like in particular the light spot on the background and the consequent shadowing
I would only suggest to work on the characters' skin. You should have underlined his muscles a little more, according to me ^^

The abstract background makes the characters stick out and contributes to the intimate atmosphere, which is good. It can happen sometimes that the background "eats" the characters when it's too detailed. As for the characters, they have nice expressions and poses and the shading is done well, but maybe they could be more detailed, as they are the main part of this drawing.
