This is an outstainding piece! You choose a very nice angle to show his words, his message, his luggage, himself and the dose with the "Thank You" around. Where he is writing this for.
I have never seen someone trying to get out of a situation like being homeless by him/herself. He would get all my money, directly. Because he is doing something with a sense. Historical photo!

wow, thank you for this comment, when you walked past him, you could not but stop and think. The letters, which were in different colors, were so eye catching! Usually I don't allow myself to photograph people in need; to exploit their situation to make "art" - but in this case I couldn't stop myself and by that maybe getting his message through in a way..?

do you have another photo of this in color? would be so nice! and i think the way you made this one, with the message in it is even helpful maybe for those people. its not like "all the others" who are doing nothing sometimes. except drinking and taking drugs. to photograph those ones does not help i guess. but i think this one point out another side of those people and is in some way "good advertisment" for homeless people. not all of them resigned with theyr life. there is still hope when we help them with food, sleeping place or money. some of them really want to join the "real life" again.

I, myself do not have this one in colors, but if I find a photo I can steal from one of the people I was travelling with, I will let you know and post in in my scrapbook or something (:

Yeah, that's what I thought too!

I actually think he did, the words were written in different colors and people did stop....

Thought-provoking. I wonder if this man got any more attention than overlooked and bypassed people on the streets all over the world...
