Update: I was SUPER tired when I drew this, and I still am. So, a lot of details I would normally pay attention to were severely overlooked. Sorry. 😵‍💫

None a’ ya’ll would’ve been able to guess, but this piece is actually fanart!

Back when I first watched the Flash tv show on CW, I feel in LOVE with the character of Eobard Thawne (I don’t mean in the simpy way, I just generally like villains better than heroes. 😅😊). Ever since I was little, I was always fascinated by the what-ifs, which is why AUs were always so fun for me. TwT <3

So, without further ado, here is Eobard Thawne, also known as Professor Zoom, Reverse Flash, or Rev for short. ^^ My version of him has a son named Alexander who he’s deeply attached to due to various traumas. He’s also still kinda crazy if a bit clingy (my theory is that something might’ve gone awry when they engineered him 👌). And, while he isn’t exactly well-liked or much of a hero, he isn’t all bad either.* He’s just kinda lonely, if maybe a bit unstable and psychopathic. 😅

You’ll always find him working on new, questionable, and likely highly illegal projects on the sidelines or trying to keep his kidnapped son (who he stole after losing custody 😂🤣 ack-) from doing stupid things.

Alex, btw, uses a speed serum to make himself fast, as he can’t produce speed force on his own. But he can conduct it, and even electricity to an extent. He’s not very good with using the speed force to run as it’s intended to be used. To compensate for that, I gave him another ability via an accident, a la classic comic book backstories. X3 I had him almost die in a train accident where a shard of supercharged metal made its way into his heart. Since then, Alex, otherwise known as Conduit or Impulse, has gained the power of magnetism (*Magneto intensifes*). He can also absorb, and at his strongest (when both negative and positive speed forces are present), STEAL the speed force from others and use it to vaporise them. So, he’s essentially a Flash Canon. dcb He’s never done this of course, only an alternate version of him has. 🤣 In his original timeline/universe, he just kinda vibes and occasionally practises running (Aka skidding and crashing into the ground). 😂

Was there a story in my au? I honestly can’t remember and I’m not sure I ever wrote it down. The only thing I do remember is some stuff about Alex’s mom, Eobard’s now-deceased lover and colleague (who was a couple months older than him). Oh, and Eobard’s traumatic childhood of course. 👌 The neglected child, always one-upped by his younger, stronger, and handsomer brother. Ah yes… a healthy family. :’3

Even had a scene were Eo (yes, I shortened his name, shut- ò-ó 🔪) ran into his cop brother and, surprisingly, spared him. It was uh… a very intense moment for both Robern (who recognised Eo in costume) and Eobard (who was tempted to kill his brother partially out of spite and also to keep him out of the way). 😵‍💫

*Eobard mainly works with whatever side benefits him most. And, while his son Alex is fascinated by alternate universes and timelines, he’s not so keen on exploring the boundaries of space and time. XP

Also, sorry he looks really young here. I was exhausted when I drew this, and I still am. :’D I barely slept last night cuz I was so uncomfortable and in pain. 😵‍💫 T-T That being said (since this is my first time ever drawing him too) he’ll probably be a little different/more ironed out in future iterations. This drawing was mainly for practise anyways. ^^

Update: Ooh! Forgot to mention: Eobard lost most of his powers due to a really bad injury. But he’s still fairly powerful when he’s been set off. 😵‍💫 Just… don’t get in his way. Also, Alex doesn’t know if Eobard is his real father, and neither does Eobard. Though he is convinced that another man is Alex’s father, a man he was accused of killing.
