I really like the perspective of this photo. It adds like a whole different dimension to it.

Thanks. I don't think it was particularly intentional. I just wanted to focus on the legs really.

i usually don't like pictures where people make fotos of their si-scars and show them as a piece of art on DA. but - i like this one.
it doesn't show the usual "life is pain" message (which i don't like)
i think i shows the contrast between the fassade one shows on the outside ("yay summer, beach, nice outfits") and what is behind this fassade (scars and what caused them). at least this is what i see in this foto, perhaps i'm wrong.
(like always, sry for the bad english i hope you can still understand me)

Nah, there's a big difference between being anonymous on the internet and being a recognisable face in real life.

True, but not everyone knows you in real life. Sure they'll see your face but even they will be more open than you'd think. Regardless, I stand by what I say. You are brave, no mater who sees you.

Thank you. But it's easy to hide behind the anonymity of the internet.

awww, I like this. you got your message out there.
I know how you feel.
My scars go right to my ankle, so I mean, I can totally understand the whole "oh, I'm really glad you can wear a bathing suit comfortably" thing.
yeah.
anyway.
love it.

You have a beautiful body.
I can't wear short sleeves during the summer, I often wear huge sweatshirts.
Don't let anyone say you aren't beautiful because of your scars.
If you ever need to talk, I'm here.

oh dear! your skin is beautiful. you don't have to be ashamed of your body. it's you. yourself.
every scar has a little "story" i guess. that's how it works for me.
sometimes i do get ashamed in front of everyone...but they don't laugh or critique. they smile, take a deep breath and ...my friends give me a big hug...and ask me to stop...even if i can't sometimes. but it will pass.
so dear...i'm telling you again, you have a wonderful skin, full of stories. your stories!
here...maybe you know this song, but it's worth it. [link]

in my mind, the scars are what got you through some rough times and you should not feel ashamed of your coping mechanism.
but i do know where that shame comes from. there was a period where i deeply regretted something i had done in this respect, but gradually came to accept the fact that at least i was strong enough to find something to pull me through... and that's a much better solution than the alternative.
(sorry this is a bit late)

i know your problem...
it sucks a lot... but i like the picture
it shows how you feel if everyone is swimming in the pool and you're sitting in the gras with trousers that no one can see your legs. and it's so hot.
oh damn! i don't wanna think of it!
i love all your pics!

Oh, I love this. It's like if I were a better photographer and took a pic of my legs. lol but there's no way I'd be able to pull it off like this. Nice work.

today, walking home from a friends place, in 30C heat, wearing a long sleeved top, i decided, 'fuckit' and i pushed up my sleeves and for the first time in 5 years, i showed my arms in public.
and it felt good.

You know the lines on your shirt really blend with the pattern of scars on your piece. I find it very moving. It reminds me alot of a mug shot, but of your legs rather.
I know, summer sucks! I'm pretty pale and burn quickly so I carry an umbrella everywhere I go. I had a friend who had her whole right leg burnt up, she wore nylons under her shorts, no one really cared. If your really conscience you might want to try that.
Other than that scars are fine, My whole left thigh looks much like yours and I wear shorts all the time, the sun actually healed most of the scars in little than three years.

I just had hurted my arms... and by my luck was a fresh day on july where I could wear a sweater...
