THE GODS (from left to right, alternating top row and second)

ThunderbirdThunderbird: Mighty god of lightning and the winds. His wings shake the skies.

BisonBison: Powerful god of earthquakes and the plains. His feet shake the land.

BearBear: Noble king god, watching the tribes from on high, giving his gift of light. When he sleeps, the land sleeps, and winter comes.

RabbitRabbit: Gentle goddess of the night, whose loving gaze protects her sleeping tribes. Once a month, her eye blinks, and the cycles continue.

TurtleTurtle: Bountiful goddess of life, source of the tribes. All life sprouts from her, as her children populate the world.

BatBat: Swift and fleeting warrior god, who escorts the tribes on their final journey to the next world. He is the reaper, making room for new life in the world.

This is my pantheon project! Each of them has three objects which are both traditional native American symbols, and identify the animal of each one. I still don't understand why the native Americans associated turtles with fertility.....

I think they look different enough to be interesting, especially the small RabbitRabbit, or the preggerous TurtleTurtle. The grey bits are done in silver sharpie, making them look quite lovely in real life! But on here, it looks like static. Also cool!

So...apparently I've made a new religion? Any takers?
