just wondering, i use gimp as well. how do you do your layers?

well, for the first layer I do the sketch, then I make a new layer and do the outline, then go to the bottom layer and erase the sketch, then colour the bottom layer and to the shading by selecting a shade and selecting overlay. I also use the lasso tool for most of the designs/colouring. Like the stripes or something. And that's pretty well it.
