As is the case with Barney, I actually liked the Teletubbies as a kid. Like Barney, I changed them for the better for the Sesame Academy universe. In fact, they are completely different from their original incarnations. They're smarter for one thing. Even for a preschool show, the creators of Teletubbies seemed to be appealing to the lowest common denominator.Though, if I ever made SA into a comic, these guys won't play a very big role. I see them more as background characters.

Whenever I see the Teletubbies, the first thing that pops into my head is a part from Craig Ferguson: I'm Here to Help, where Tinky Winky isn't gay, just drunk.

As much as I liked Dragon Tales, I'm not sure how well they'd fit into Sesame Academy, since they sort of have their own thing going on in DragonLand. If anything, Max and Emmie will appear in SA as background characters.

CBeebies has recently re-run Teletubbies and my daughter loves it, I still find it as annoying as when I did when it first came out.
