Description Gah so much blending.... Anyways this is my entry to the 2012 Avcon art competition. I went with a story book artistic style with this piece because I felt it extenuated the boldness of the picture. Very very happy with the outcome.

Update: Won second place against an awesome digital artwork. Very very proud of myself and this picture

What a throwback I loved portraying DKC2 renders back then.

Your colouring looks stunning. The Kremling in the front especially!

Thanks, the Kremling was the most time consuming part of the picture. I love how the piece came out though.

I love the DKC games so much and with this drawing you captured the atmosphere quite well. And really good work on the hand of that kremling in the front. Would take me minutes to draw only the hand (I suck at drawing hands).

I'm sure you do fine drawing hands Thanks so much for the comment though I really love how this picture came out. It took a lot of blending to get the colours but I love it more each day. I framed it and hung it on my wall in my room.

This is an absolutely breathtaking tribute to DKC2! I'm practically drooling at what you've treated us to here: drawing the characters in their original Rareware style and then dazzling it all up in your own special style of coloring. And the light black outline around everything just sharpens up the whole artwork and polishes it beautifully (and does indeed make it look "story-booky")!

I hope for the best in the competition!
