Y'all ever rewatch something you love and see some side characters that are important to the plot and are like "That's some lazy ass character design"? Well, Katie showed me "Happily Ever After" (1993) and I looked at the dwarfelles and wanted to cry. They did my girls dirty. So I'm gonna talk about each one of them from top to bottom, left to right.

Marina: She's supposed to control all the lakes and rivers, but she does not exude "water". She exudes "beach". And while my mermaid design may not help, at least it's more in theme.

Flora: I had no problem with her design, I just was redoing everyone else so I figured why not?

Critterina: WHY DOES SHE LOOK LIKE A CHIPETTE?! She's a dwarf, not a chipmunk. I gave her some freckles so I could put one on her nose to kind of pay homage, but overall I just made her look more... western?

Moonbeam: Felt less sleepy and more Merlin the great wizard. I fix.

Sunburn: SHE HAD ONION HAIR. And nothing except her skin implied what she did. And with her attitude, I thought a fiery Karen hair cut would fit swimmingly. And I gave her a sun dress. Get it? Sun?

Thunderella: WHY WAS SHE PINK AND RED?! IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HER NAME OR POWERS! I was originally going to go with grey and yellow colors, but the thunder she summoned was teal, so I went with that. But now her name and powers match her appearance.

Muddy: You gave my girl the power to control the earth and YOU DIDN'T GIVE HER ANY MINING OR HIKING EQUIPMENT?! You thought covering her in mud and putting her in an ugly orange dress would suffice?! Get out of here with that nonsense.

Something else I tried to do was add some visual variety to the group. There were a few too many fair-skinned-dark-haired girls for me to be comfortable with.
