You used scuply clay for this?

Jus out of curiosity. This may be a stupid question..but..
Did you cook it with the metal ring already in it?

noodlezoop In reply to tigerlilly207 [2007-09-10 19:22:28 +0000 UTC]

nope. first i made the charm, and i used a toothpick to poke a hole through the clay - and you have to make sure the hole is extra large cause it shrinks with the heat. and then once it was baked, i used a pliers to pry apart the metal ring a little, and then i slipped the paopu charm on like a keychain. :3
i hope that helped! ^^

Ahh, see i never factored in the heat shrinking the hole! Thank-you!
Ive tried to make charms with sculpy/fimo/ other types of clay and the hole was always..messed up.
Thank-you!

What do you think an actual paopu tastes like?

catsoul91 In reply to Kngfishergrl [2007-05-21 01:36:57 +0000 UTC]

mmm... I think paopu tastes like starfruit, since the starfruit is probably "related" to them

so my guess would be a KINDA sweet flavor

Probably. Wonder why I didn't think of that? Oh well. That's my moronness talking.

hm..
salty - no, sweet!!

oh wait no - thats ice cream. XD

i kind of imagine it to have the texture of a pear, but sweeter - like a strawberry-sweet pear.

I figured that it would taste like a lanka fruit. I've never tasted a langka( I'm not into healthy stuff. Junk food for me ) but judging by it's texture and smell, I "hypothesized" that a paopu must taste very similar.

I like them with ice-cream and chocolate. Halo-halo is a Filipino dessert with ice-cream and lots of good things in it. You?
