This is really a beautiful drawing. The style is surreal and organic, with a knowing way of representing inner space of the self realized human. And then I only know from your words that it's about an iguana. It actually at first looked to me to be something internal within one's body... a connection that is now alive but nevertheless without it's beloved there to be with.
And then I see the heavenly atmosphere and restfullness. Wonderful!

This is a very special piece to me. I actually started drawing it about a week before he died..it was almost prophetic. I couldn't do much for a while after he passed away, but I finally finished it almost 2 weeks later and decided that this would be the drawing to complete my left sleeve that I have dedicated to my Iggy. On my hand I have a surrealist image I drew of him as a baby and further up I have sort of melting forest of vines surrounding him along with the plant he used to love to sit in.
Going up more, I will have this eventually, as if he has ascended into the sky in a peaceful dream.
