How did you get these styrofoam thingies lined up? (look a bit like pebbles) Tried something similar once with a couple of chocs in a bowl... downright a chore and hard to get right.

They are done with a specific tool with ZBrush. If you are familiar / have this software I can explain more in details

No Z-Brush here. Too early for me, too costly at the moment, I only started anything -as in: anything- in the line of 3D-art on exactly Sept. 30th 2017, so I am still cursing at and about Hexagon. Which I probably guessed right was the wrong software to try and do that sort of stuff. Still, if you could very briefly comment on what you use there (as in: are those things procedurally generated instances, or do you sort of add another ballony shape from a side face of the last one, skew it, and keep going, i.e. actual polygons?); I am sure I will remember... in time.
Btw. you were using depth of field on that camera? mostly noticeable on the hand on the rim of the parcel, very finely tuned from what it looks like because the filling things are a little unsharp either; what focal distance?

It is a tool of ZBrush that allow to add a mesh touching with another mesh. It is called IMM brush. So what you do you add them. You form a square of it and then duplicate. Of course you only need the top layer, as beneath it you cannot see through. And yes, I use depth of field in my render. The settings really depend on your camera, position, etc.

Scrap that first question, actually. It's a repetitive line-up of sorts, can clearly be seen at the right side of the box, 3 times the same from front to end plus clipping into the cardboard; which can't, I assume, really be helped unless you're paid to invest time like you are doing a Marvel movie.
And my compliments as for the rest, i.e. the filling things against your character, there *might* be clipping, but it's innocuous for all practical purposes; camera settings have been of help here, as I surmised?.
Been using a ghost-light on the unseen inner front wall of the parcel?
